2.5R Racing Engine

The TRX 2.5R engine features the new PowerTune cooling head, composite slide
carburetor, multiport rear exhaust, and of course, EZ-Start push-button electric
starting. The TRX 2.5 won R/C Car Action Magazines Reader’s Choice Award for
best engine and was most recently heralded as the worlds most powerful small
block RTR engine! The 2.5R is even better! It’s easy-revving broad powerband
pushes Revo well beyond 40mph!

FEATURES:

Radio: Traxxas TQ-3 pistol grip with servo reverse, trim controls two
high torque steering servos, one standard throttle servo, 5-cell NiMh receiver
pack, and one mini servo
Clutch: Transmission: Two-speed, with Traxxas’s exclusive OptiDrive
Electronic Transmission Control. Microprocessor control senses speed and
controls shifting for smooth operation, prevents shifting between forward and
reverse until truck is completely stopped, and has no mechanical clutches.
OptiDrive also uses LEDs to signal transmission RPM, monitors voltage of
receiver pack, and can be programmed to use aftermarket radio systems. Micro
servo controls shifting. Torque control slipper clutch uses special
semi-metallic friction pads with a molded alloy pressure plate finned for extra
cooling. Optional close and wide ratio 2-speed gear sets for custom tailoring to
size and type of race track are also available.
Ball Bearings: Full set included, rubber sealed bearings used in all
exposed locations Shocks: 4 inboard mounted, maintenance free, silicone
oil-filled, aluminum body
Main Gear: Gearbox: Sealed front and rear Differentials: Maintenance free,
sealed with silicon X-rings and gaskets, limited slip action can be tuned using
different viscosity oil
Brakes: Alloy calipers, giant 1.6″ (40mm) diameter drilled and
vented steel rotor and semi-metallic friction material
Tires: Talon treads, soft compound rubber low profile with foam inserts
Wheels: 5-spoke chrome tires and wheels are compatible with the Maxx
series
Body: Pre-painted, trimmed with decals applied
Bumpers: Front and rear
Suspension: Variable progressive design, different rocker sets allow easy
adjustment of progressive rate and total travel to more than 4-3/4″
(120mm), suspension travel not limited to length of shocks Ride height,
suspension travel, and progressive rate can be adjusted totally independent of
each other Rubber sealed pivot balls can be adjusted with included tool without
removing seals
Camber Tie Rods: Adjustable, with pivot ball suspension, camber is how the tires
sit vertically
Steering Tie Rods: Adjustable, from 5-15,_caster/toe-in is the angle that the
tires point inward as viewed from above
Steering: Ball bearing enhanced with twin high-torque servos driving a
heavy-duty servo saver
Battery Charger: AC/DC, peak detecting, auto trickle charge with AC power
adapter
Chassis: 1/8″ (3mm) thick 6061-T6 aluminum
Drive: Four wheel drive
Drive Type: Shaft driven, shafts are 0.71″ (18mm) diameter with
rubber shielded half shafts and rubber shielded stub axle bearings
